What a sad example of a M400\ufffd. Thank God his is throwing in the mouse shit. For $2000 it better be gold plated!

M400 #706 ,the former ELO Mellotron was sold to me in 1997 in worse shape.

Keys 1-4 were rotted from the mice peeing atop that spot. And the
roller assemblies beneath crumbled from rust/urea. Took hours to clean-up
the headblock in that area, incl. repl. of heads 1-5.

I also received free of charge, two mice nests in bottom of cabinet,

with loads of "black rice" everywhere. Still, everything was repairable,
cleanable, etc. You may have seen this revived instr. It's now part of the
JKMK6 which debuted in Philly-2001.

Yecch, I played on mouse piss! Did you here that, KL? You did too!
Jerry, I never heard this before. Sounds almost as bad as the legend of the
"Spring" chicken MKII. What is it about these things that make animals behave
this way?

MKII #247 - never used as a bathroom - I think

Y'wot? I know Julianne Regan played Mellotron on All About Eve's 'Ultraviolet', about ten years ago... Or should I know better, and just ignore this? :-)

There's always the 'XTC Chamberlin' story I found and stuck on my site at:

involving rodent excreta... :-)
