tron spotting

Hi all,
Who did "There are more questions than answers" in the mid 70's?
Was it Johnny Nash? I heard it on the radio last weekend. Sounded
like 3 violin all over it. Anybody know? Did he do other stuff with tron
or was it just a one off?
John

Indeed it was. CBS8351, entered the chart 7 October 1972, reached No 9. I
have often pondered the same question, John. Only the session men will know
for sure.... I also have a cheapo non-original version on one of those '12
Tops' compilations where Hammond/Leslie is used in place of the string
sound.

As far as I know, it was 'Rabbit' Bundrick, who played keys on various
Johnny Nash releases.

BTW How about Barry Biggs' 'Sideshow' (Feb 1977), sure sounds like 3 Violins
to me.... and that's another Reggae pop tune! Comments, anyone?

The new Bill Murray movie "Lost in Translation" has bits of 3 violin Tron in the soundtrack. (and is a good movie!) Mellotron connection - the director is Sofia Coppola who directed "Virgin Suicides" which is lush with Tron, thanks to the French T-Dreamers, AIR.

Also spotted uncredited Tron 3violins on Herbie Hancock "Headhunters" (maybe Chamberlain, because some flutes later sound like Chamberlain). Seems to me Herbie had that early 70's fear of the Musician Union...

According to an interview I read somewhere, there's a string synth/'Tron violins mix on 'Vein Melter'.
