2002-03-05 by crashpilot78

hi there

maybe i'm going to buy a mellotron 400 in some weeks, and i just want
to ask you how i can transport it. do i have to transport it upright
like when i play it or can i lay it down in the car. can this cause
damage to the mellotron?

cheers & thanks, marcel

Hi Marcel,
I used to transport my old M400 on it's back in my old Honda Civic
hatchback. This with tapes inside no problems. The boyz at
Streetly loaded it into my car like that when I first bought it from
them so no worries. Just make sure you give it a good looking over
before you turn it on afterwards. Look for headblock and tapes
coming adrift.

Were they pointing and laughing as you drove away?

I thought they always did that!

I always used to transport my M400 on it's back which is why I still have an estate car 'just in case'....
