Mellotronists

Last night I loaded into my E4K the following: MK2 violins,viola 
tuned,cello,string section,and M300 strings(hi and lo) then proceeded 
to make a linked preset stacking the violins,viola,cello,and 
M300,with slight panning differences and some nice reverb and WOW! 
 I called it Massive Strings(an understatement)! Total bank was 64 meg
(I have the E4K upgraded to hold 128 meg).Then I went into layer mode 
and layered that linked preset with the string section sound....evn 
MORE massive! I assigned filter,attack,and release for each sound to 
the MIDI control sliders.Way cool!!

OK!

I have a maxed out ASR-10R and can only access one sound at a time.

Advice??

Each sound takes up about 16 meg. ASR-10's are capable of,,,,,,,,,16
meg. If you shorten the samples on each note to 3 seconds, then truncate. By
doing so you can fit four sounds on in a bank. Three seconds of each note is
enough to give a more than realistic sound.

Use MIDI sequencing to record your first tron sound track,record 
the audio on whatever format you use,go back and reload another tron 
sound and sync the first MIDI track with the new sound to "layer" 
over the first sound that you recorded,and so on...build up layers of 
different tron sounds playing identical notes in other words.(or you 
could just manually play the parts on different tracks...)
