Pinch rollers etc.

Pinch rollers etc.

2004-03-21 by Andy Thompson

First of all, many thanks for all the help from everyone re.my pinch roller problem. I'm still not sure of the best way to tackle it, but at least I've got some pointers!
Secondly, someone's written to me saying their dad played Mellotron harpsichord on a 1977 Jim Croce album. They claim it was the 'Strawberry Fields' machine, but we've heard that one before... I'm still not sure of the exact contents of the original MkII tapeset, and I've never heard of a harpsichord sound for the M400. Can anyone elucidate?
Ta,
Andy T.

Andy,
I don't know if was on the MkII but I've got it on my M300. It's not
bad either. The original M300 definately had it as it's demonstrated
on DK's Mellotron Sounds video although I don't think the
harpsichord on mine is the original to that model.
