I moderate a Yahoo! site dedicated to my little Korg X5D synths, and
I set the membership status so that all new sign-ups are moderated,
but as soon as they post and I find out they are legit, I change
their status to unmoderated so I don't have to baby-sit. It seems to
work so far, but I only have a few members compared to the size of
this group.

Alternatively, let's reverse the process and feed them back a few
hundred 'Watcher intro' discussion posts every day until they start
praying for mercy.

Boy, you guys are harsh! Talk about cruel and unusual punishment.
By the way, has anybody else ever noticed how much the "Watcher of
the Skies" intro sounds like the soundtrack for the first Godzilla
movie, the one with Raymond Burr?

raymond burr was NOT in genesis at the time of that recording.
he came in later to cover on the drums when mr collins started singing
live ;0)

speaking of "watcher..."
i have a "famous charisma label" sampler album [i think it's the
"5th anniversary" of the label] that has a VERY different sounding
mix of "watcher" on it... anyone know the history of this possibly
alternate version? i have not listened to it in years, but i know
it sounds rather different than the final album mix... i'll have
to dig it out and listen more carefully to try and spot specific
sonic differences...

Is that the version where Tony Banks tried using the very rare MkII
sub-contrabass accordian sound in the LH part which caused Phil Collins
to lose control of his bowels and rush from the studiom whereupon Peter
Gabriel took over behind the kit, but could only manage a feeble
Foxtrot beat -- hence the name of the album?

Did this really happen? Did it really, really happen? Or was Martinge
lying?
