A question...........

A question...........

2002-03-21 by J.K.Beresford

Hi Mart,
If I ever need a new tape set for my M300 it will contain the new
Russian Choir. Quite awesome! And some of the other newbies
too. The Oboe/Cor Anglaise is wonderful. From a personal opinion
though if it's a question of priorities I would like to see the existing
sounds tuned up better relative to each other. For instance the
String section is flat compared with virtually all my other sounds.
Okay if you are recording separately - you can retune but playing 2
sounds together live - not so good. But I do realise a) mellotron
tuning is a contentious area and b) it would be an immense
amount of work.

I asked Jimmy here in the US to change my tape order to include the Russian choir! For my use and money that's the type of sound I need. Gothic, Russian choir and Ian McDonald's flute what a combo. My 2ยข worth.

Not yet owning a 'tron [one day... one day... one day] I do think that if If
I could only have 3 sounds the combo of Gothic, Russian Choir and IM flute
would be a super threesome!
