BUT.....only in the line-amp. Meaning that the preamp circuit was unchanged. Any pin-for-pin repl. IC prob. wouldn't yield a better sound, because the IC wasn't part of the signal ampl. process . I can check pinouts for you. Pls. email me privately...... Jimmy Pishock's M400 in Philly-2001 had ua741 , and Ken L. / I saw one inside EMI-400 #3 last week in New England.
