Three new previewed sounds are available on the Streetly web site. All
supplied an newly recorded by one F. Doddy, we have 'Angry Strings',
'Chamber Woodwinds' and 'Plucked Piano'.

Find them at http://www.blackcat.demon.co.uk/tron/

Just went to the site and listened to these and all I have to say is,
"Wow!" (Actually, there's a lot more I want to say, but small children
may stumble on to this site.) Fritz, take your NY Yankees baseball cap
off and take a bow! I want all 3 of these sounds. It may even bump my
darling wife's piccolo sound off my machine -- and that's probably
going to get me exiled to the sofa for several months! (smart comments
are NOT welcome here!)

Streetly and the Fritzolator have added something substantially
worthwhile to the Mellotronic cause with these new voices. Any more in
the works, maestro?

bottom of the garden every evening!")

Nice work, Fritz. I'm glad that you are contributing to the Streely library
so that we can all play these sounds on our 'Trons.

OK, a pattern has emerged. I see there's now "Sad Strings" and "Angry
Strings". How about "Pissed Strings". Although, that may have a different meaning,
depending on which side of the Atlantic you are on.

I'd *really* like to hear Frtiz's "Plucked Piano" in reverse. I suppose you
could string the tapes backwards, but you'd need to line up the attacks
properly, so that, when played back, the intital stike is in the first couple of
seconds, Or, mabe it would be more interesting if the attacks weren't lined up,
but were more random. Has anyone tried stringing tapes backwards on their
'Tron (intentionally)?

While I was on Mike's web site, I played the "Cat" sound, just to hear what
was there. My cat came running out from behind my Hammond and started
hollering at my computer. Apparently, the "Cat" sound has some special meaning to
cats. Maybe we should rename it "Pissed Cat". Give this a try, if you have a
cat, it will freak them out.
