Trons in church

Trons in church

2004-11-08 by Char-El

Hi all
I have been adding keyboards to a worship service on a regular basis every other week and using lots of tron and Chamberlin sounds from my E4K/Pinder CD to the songs and the congregation loves the sounds! I'm using violins, tron flute,Chamberlin flute and cello, tron choir. The songs are contemporary Christian rock( I don't know who all the artists are -they give me a cdr with the tunes to learn with no info) and some are fairly progressive sounding.
I was curious if anyone else has used or knows of the use of our beloved tape machines in church surroundings. Charles

Ray Cardogno from the Worcester, MA area. His is (was?) in the choir loft
of a local church.

I haven't heard from Ray for *years*, though, unfortunately. He used to be
out here, but I think he's long gone. :-(

The Radio Massacre International concert a few months back was held in a
church. During the afternoon they had a little practice session with the
'trons and church organ. I stood in the sonic sweet spot of the church to
listen. Hair standing on end? Oh yeah.

For the concert the church organist started, then RMI came in with the
'trons. That was quite cool.

I was in a band called 11.59 back in 1973. We used my m400 extensively
wherever we went, and on our album "This our Sacrifice of Praise." One of the best
things ever was when we played at a church in Onslow Square in London. They
have a fantastic organ there, and the combination of full throttle Church
Organ and 8 Choir booming through the PA stirs the soul I can tell you.
