Mellotronists

Years ago, when I had more gear-lust than lucre, I persuaded a music store
to just let me continue giving them money every two weeks until I had given
them enough to take home the synth of my dreams (at the time - we won't go
into what it was, it would REALLY date me) ...  perhaps that "(P)lay-away"
plan could work for you?
