Those things never worked for me.
Being from Philadelphia, I had a theory this year that if I placed a 
substantial bet AGAINST the Eagles for the Super Bowl, then 
that "fickle finger of fate" would get too confused to allow me to 
benefit from their loss!  I ultimately never placed the bet, fearing 
that fate would get pissed and hit me with its own clever option 
where a rogue undiscovered asteroid comes out of nowhere and lands on 
Philadelphia!  Guess you'll never know if you don't try it.  Ain't 
hindsight great?
I'd rather wait for fate and karma to kick in when "it" 
chooses....it's less effort that way, and it won't backfire due to 
the attempted manipulation! :)
