new mellotronist: NEW MK VI, markus resch, and more....

2002-04-30 by phlizmo

just wanted to say hi as i am new to the group and very soon will be
a new mellotron user.. i expect my black MKVI by summertime,(thanks
Markus!).. Having read the mellotron book many times over i am almost
sure that there are some out there that would love to quench my
excitment by telling me that what i am getting is not the real deal..
As of now I am not sure what to think about that .. I have been
assured by a certain MK II and 400 user , (Brian Kehew/moogcookbook),
that the MK VI is well worth it.. i still have yet to get it in my
hands but i am positive that if this thing will let me
get "Strawberry Fields..", "Starless", and "The Rain Song" in my own
living room i will be more than Pleased! I know there seems to be two
schools of thought about all of this, two CAMPS if you will.. I dont
claim any one side ... Not yet anyway.. All i can say is Markus
trully loves what he is doing , ( he couldnt possibly be in it for
the money), and is one of the greatest human beings i have EVER had
the pleasure of doing buisiness with.. That said I am looking forward
to all of the mellotron related conversation with all of you.. best
wishes!

Derrick Espino, (almost a melotronist)
