You....you mean...you once licked the contacts clean with the power
ON?!?? Lest I remind everyone that Mattel marketed this thing "for
ages 4 & up". I know what gyrated me to buy the Optigan was that there
was no assembly required. I wonder if the previous owner of my unit
really used dogshit to clean the contacts...kinda hard to tell...the
Optigan is a medley of brown and off-brown.

The pencil eraser "toy cleaning method to clean a toy" is a great
practice indeed. Works great cleaning heads on the Fisher-Price
PixelVision PXL-2000 camcorder too.
