Here's the scoop:

Jim Legget of Houston TX has a black MkVI and a black 400 for sale. Neither
unit works very well, i.e., the MkVI (no case) has audio problems and has
eaten several tapes; the 400 (SN unknown) also has audio problems (no sound;
has SMS) and has an "M" on the back (a Sound Sales bodge?). I was interested
in just the 400 as a fixer-upper, but Jim is pretty much burned out on
Mellotrons and ideally wants to sell both as a package deal for $5500.

I agreed not to openly post his phone number and he doesn't own a computer,
so interested parties can email me privately for contact information, etc.

So Frank... You are helping Jim sell these. This must be a new
method of advertising. If Jim is seriously trying to sell these, he
might tell us about the sounds included or he might tell us something
good about what he is selling. Most mellotrons have eaten a tape or
two in their lives. I have never seen anyone mention "tape eating"
as a product feature in a mellotron advertisement.
