"Offering an original Mellotron M400 #459 made in England. This Unit
has not been modified in any way. The only part replaces was a drive
belt about five years ago. This unit is the MKII brass and woodwind,
violin string, and choir tapes and to my knowledge were replaced by
Mellotron Archives in 1992. To my knowledge, this unit belonged to
Devo before I purchased it in 1993. The heads and capstan shaft and
motor are in excellent shape, as are the pressure pads and pinch
rollers. Heads have been demagnetized and motor and capstan bearings
have all been lubricated as well.

This unit is a 100% working unit and will include the ORIGINAL MUFF
COVER, which does show some wear. The unit is white with the original
Mellotron markings.

Shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser as the size and
weight and a lot of careful packing are essential to prevent damage
to the unit.

For further background and parts, please refer to Mellotron Archivesz
on the web.

Fairly priced ar $2800 US Currency, which is close to half the cost
of a new one."

Good luck.
