Mellotronists

The Gordon Reid comparison via SOS on line is where I picked up the
*rumour*;

He certainly has gone over the Mk VI with a fine-toothed comb; lauding
its construction and modifications, but questioning its electronics
and even the guarantee that the keys will not warp. Hmmmm....and they
were made by the same co. that deals with Steinway? The frame-swap
issue certainly was problematic to him. Of course any comparison is up
to scrutiny and I'll just simply say that it's a great read; after
all, he is the musician and I am not.

However, I don't think I'd use the word "dull" in describing the
reproduced sounds of the latest model, though.
