Mellotronists

The overhead racks are actually crafted from 2X4's,
stained and secured from the ceiling joists.  For the
new expansion, I'm having them made from heavy L-steel
by a steel sculpter friend of mine, as I have grown to
mistrust their structural integrity.  They are not
only the showpiece of the studio design and get alot
of "spaceship" comments, but they are the most
covenient racks I've ever used.  I highly recommend an
overhead system for you studio cats, although they do
require a bit of messing about with acoustical
treatments at the mix position (or a very patient and
able ear).
