Greetings Bob and everyone, eBay has little tolerance for sellers who use
others' photos and material verbatim. You could email that seller and get him
to change the wording . If not, you have a legal right to ask eBay to shut him
down.

Here's the eBay listing listing :

"This is a tape-based analog replay keyboard that first became poplular in the
sixties.
These fascinating instruments, originally made famous by groups like The Moody
Blues,
The Beatles, and Genesis, are enjoying a re-discovery forty years later by a new

generation of musicians and listeners."

And here's Bob's Website text :

"Welcome to the original Web page devoted to Mellotrons and Chamberlins,
the tape-based analog replay keyboards that first became poplular in the
sixties.
These fascinating instruments, originally made famous by groups like The Moody
Blues,
The Beatles, and Genesis, are enjoying a re-discovery forty years later by a new

generation of musicians and listeners."

Notice the spelling error of "popular." That clinches it , Bob . Go get 'im!

Hi Jerry and all,

I could claim that I put the typo in there on purpose to catch plagiarists! Wow, all this time and I never noticed that. Sometimes even your best friends won't tell you :-)

I don't really have a problem with the copying. I figure it is a bit of a compliment. It doesn't take anything away from the website. It might be different if I was making money from the site.

Many years ago now, I found that the entry on Mellotrons and Chamberlins at 120 Years of Electronic Music was almost wholly lifted from my site. I wrote to the guy who admitted it, but it took him a long time to replace the text with a paraphrased version. I would have been a lot happier with a link to the original site.
