Jerry: Thanks for the info - it applies to samplers/digital keys, as well as "real" 'Trons. If you've never had a mold problem, you should see the havoc mold plays with wood, metal,and electronic components! As I thought, low humidity is just as bad for 'Trons as high humidity... and I imagine that abrupt changes in humidity (as well as temperature) would be disastrous as well!

For those of you that live in a hi-rise building, the higher up you are, the higher the winds are... so you might escape the flooding, but not wind damage.

While we're at it... let's not forget those of you that live in "tornado alley" - you have your own set of problems - like little or no warning!

A few years ago, I saw a report on "Dome Homes". This may be a solution for those of you who are living in a hurricane or tornado prone area. According to what I've researched. dome homes are designed to withstand 150 mph straight line... and 200mph tornadic winds.I have a friend of mine who recently bought one in Georgia (he's a keyboardist and record collector who asked me to ask the group if anyone had ever heard of a group called "Iron Duke") who loves his home... Funny you should mention the domes - I live in Kansas and am considering building one in the next few years. I have different kinds of living and working space ideals from most people and a dome offers me the kind of flexibility I want as well as providing a ready-made second story planetarium!
