See Ron's MKII at 22:35 - about half way.

Scientology preaches that Hubbard's teachings are best solution to the
mental problems of the world. Didn't seem to help HIM much.

What is with these Hollywood people buying-in to this rubish.

I can't wait to see the replies from the Mellotronist-Scientologists
out there!

Where in hell is that MkII? Martin, any leads?

Interesting program. Confirms that it was/is all pure bullshit. P.T.
Barnum (or was it W.C. Fields?) WAS right: "There's a sucker born every minute".

The Sucker Club have built an underground vault in New Mexico where
Hubbard's writings are preserved on Titanium plates. His MKII is
probably there. Easy to find the location, as it has a huge signpost
(crop circle style) so that interplanetary space craft can find it.

A bizarre epitaph for a 3rd rate Sci-Fi writer, 2nd rate con-
artist/hypnotist, 1st rate madman.

Yeah, he was pretty good at wrapping a lot of opinion
around one piece of relative information

L Ron's MKII is at Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead, Angleterre. It is
stunning to look at. The pictures of a MKII being laced etc. on the website is
his instrument.

Hubbard, the con-man and borderline sociopath is always fascinating
reading. Here's a light overview - I find his connections with Aleister
Crowley and Jack Parsons (a Cal-tech Prof and defense contractor)
especially interesting.

I love Scientology literature. Everything Ron did was a pinnacle of
achievement. Everything he said was definitive. The classic is his profound
observation on taking a photograph - 'Quite simply put, taking a photograph is about
arranging objects within the frame to give a pleasing effect' or something
of that ilk. He was the first to identify this stunning fact.

His music was also something above and beyond that of mere mortals.
Apparently, according to his orchestrator, Ron's music was so utterly perfect that
the arrangements wrote themselves. I suppose, quite simply put, music is
about placing notes and chords in such a manner as to give a pleasing effect.

The moral of all this - if you want to make money, start a religion or a
cult or a cult religion full of stupid cults.

Here endeth the first pinnacle,

L. Martin Smith? Odd that world's most perfect orchestrator owned a
Mellotron. I bet his never spewed tapes or went flat.

After watching this FOUR times, I went OT-7 ! I'm free of those pesky
body thetans at last.

Sorry but I HAD to send it. I was wondering what gems they recorded
in that mega-million dollar studio.

Who gives a shit about this dead nut case anyway?
I had the extremely dubious distinction of helping to deliver a Yamaha electric piano to his office many years ago and those zombie fucks were all about wanting us to stick around, go swimming and have some sort of drink. Total insanity right down to the Nazi like uniforms the "guards" wore, we couldn't get out of there fast enough!
Weak minds buy into all kinds of crap. I don't!
And people wonder why I carry a gun?

PS what's the status of the M4000? Some pics would be a nice diversion from the current "thread".

I second this opinion. in fact, these hands of mine have played L Ron's
Mellotron, which no doubt means that Tom Cruise would cheerfully crawl
through broken glass just to wank over my shadow.

Tony,

One of these days I'll have to tell you about the day I walked into the
offices of George Lincoln Rockwell and his "American" Nazis. I went there to get
an interview. What I ended up with was a lot of bullshit and a scary
afternoon. Talk about freaky. A few months later he was thoughtfully murdered. Good
riddance.
