Modular Synth Panels

That's good :)  Thanks, I'll probably get one of those.  Those four
op-amps will cover the CV mixer, it's re-inverter, the reversing
attenuator for the envelope follower, and the output buffer for the
LFO.

Then I need another board to build an envelope follower, a 5V source,
and a driver for a vactrol controlling resonance.  Speaking of
driving vactrols, any suggestions on an op amp that can source 40ma
at 10V??  I'm not much of a discrete transistor guy.  It seems as
though the OP275 can just about do it if I use a negative voltage.
Many data sheets don't even mention output current.

Yes, it looks like a very useful product, maybe I'll order extra.

 From the look of it one could get a bunch of his little boards
(utility LFO, bandpass filter, etc.) and cobble together a unique
drum synth or something.

True, although the enclosure I'm planning to use is only 3" H X 6" D
X 8" W.   So there is no way two of them along with the JH board (6
1/2" X 3 1/2") and a transformer will fit.  It has a beige front and
brown top and sides not unlike the original Tau Phaser, and will fit
perfectly in the otherwise-wasted space above my TX-7 :)


While I'm typing, does anyone know a good source for cable by the
foot??  I need some dual/stereo/siamese well-shielded cable.  For
some unknown reason, the world's most popular turntable, the Technics
1200, not only has its signal cord permanently attached, that cord
uses the world's worst RCA connectors.  At this point, mine only
works properly if I squeeze the connectors with wire ties.  So I need
to replace it.  I couldn't find the right cable at Markertek, who
sells the sexy Neutrik RCA connectors I'm planning on using.  I don't
need a whole spool.  I figure about six feet or so should work.
