Wow, that is much less than I would have guessed!!  The
daughterboards I'm planning on adding draw more current than that.

Yes, it does.  Now I can use a smaller transformer, that costs less
money, and takes uyp less space.  As it turns out, as of today,
Mouser stocks the Hammond 187C36 (36 CT, 12VA) for $11.
