I apologize if you have seen this already on the MOTM list since many of you may belong to both. It is almost Stooge panel time again. In the next couple of days, I will be updating the panel page and we will start taking your orders. There have been many changes. 1. Dave and I have reworked the entire process so that long delays in delivery are avoided. We will take orders for about 3 weeks here in May. Painted metal will be delivered to the printer around June 1 (metal is already cut and with the painter). The time slot for our work has already been reserved with the printer. So, there will NOT be excessive delays this time. We will have panels back in our hands by July 1 for quality inspection, drilling, and shipping. So, if you have new DIY designs you are interested in for this run, you need to be getting with Dave. 2. The pricing structure has changed, partially because of a set up price increase from the printer (and he is still dang reasonable). In the past panels had a fixed price. So, panels that were printed in large quantities subsidized those printed in small quantities. The new prices will reflect actual cost and panel prices will vary depending on how many of each are ordered by the group as a whole. The details will be on the web site. This new structure makes is easier for us to fill the many requests for DIY panels. 3. Dave and I run the panel part of Stooge, Inc. as a partnership. However, the Larry division of this partnership has taken on many new products. In addition to brackets and flat rails, cables and hopefully soon cabinets are taking more and more of my time. Therefore, more of the panel work will be handled by Dave in the future. They are, afterall, his brainchild. I will still be taking the orders for now. However, you will get your invoices from and send your money to Dave this time. 4. For the first time, we plan to offer two panels aimed at replacing existing MOTM front panels. You may have seen some list discussion about additional outputs for the MOTM-120. And, a new panel for the MOTM 320 will make use of the extra space by providing 4 additional complememtary outputs, Shape CV attenuation, and a high range switch making it easier to use as a VCO. It is our hope that small add on PCBs will be made available for both of these feature add ons. However, at the very least, plans will be provided by us or the person submitting the circuit add-ons to build these on small protoboards. The concept of the new panel is that you will have proper front panel graphics for these modifications and still retain your original panel should you ever choose to return your 120 or 320 to unmodified condition. I'm sure there is more. But, my brain is tired from a 17 hour day at my day gig. Stay tuned. Larry __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier.
