seems kind of strange to do it that way to me because it still requires a voltage source to power the leds. And although it will be "musical", wouldn't it make more sense that if you need a voltage source to use a high quality VCA like a THAT2180A and at least have a little bit of gain be possible too? is it possible to maintain constant impedance if that's the case?
