LEDs for bridechamber TLN-712?

LEDs for bridechamber TLN-712?

2009-07-10 by Jonathan Snipes

Hey guys,

Which LEDs have any of you used for the TLN-712?

I got these:

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=67-1156-ND

but they're too big? I thought they were the "MOTM Standard"?

Would love to get something that didn't involve me switching out any
resistors

Thanks,

Jonathan

The holes are for those little one-piece cheap bezels I use. You'll
have to drill them out a bit to use other bezels, I think. That's the
problem w/ DIY -- coming up with one size for every person. You can
always drill a hole larger, but not smaller.
: )

Those are the MOTM standard. The panel holes are not MOTM standard. You'll have to drill them out to 5/16" to use those lumex LEDs.

Does this mean that everyone using this panel has just drilled it out?

I feel like I've seen this module mounted in this panel with LEDs in
it? what are people using?

Yup - that's what we do. Will and I haven't built this module yet, but we've built the 320R and five 800Rs. Drilling out is easy... just use a step-drill (as we were advised of yore). If you want lots of pics and detail, our 320 construction page has them in the "Panel" section:

wow!! just WOOOW!!!

Will & Bill, please let me say that your construction pages are INCREDIBLE!!

thanx so much for making such a valuable resource available.

now if i could only get it together to do a Tellun order & start a building spree.... i could really put your advice/blog to use.

Hey - thanks very much. We're really glad that the site is helpful. We'll be getting back to Mr. Juskiw's Veeblefetzer soon - then finishing up the Tuner - then the other Tellun modules. Bill and Will
