2U or 3U high power supply front panel

2U or 3U high power supply front panel

2010-04-12 by jfm3jfm3jfm3

So I'm looking for a 2U or 3U high 19" panel that basically replaces the front panel of the MOTM-950, and which can also securely hold an MOTM-960. This will be mounted in the back of a EWI tourcase (R10UE-10).

I've combed through the files section of this list, but not found anything. Now that fpd 4.0 runs on Linux, I thought I'd give it a go. Anybody have a good starting point?

Larry Hendry used to make what was called a 2U PSU Mult, which was
kinda like what you describe. it was a full width 2U panel with holes
for the IEC socket and power switch, and as an added bonus, 4x4 mult.

i'm not sure whether the design files for the panel are still
available but you might check with Dave Bradley.

btw i still have one of these and i'm basically selling my MOTM
format modular, so i might be up for an offer on it.

Thanks for your reply.

I've seen what Larry Hendry did, and I've seen what Richard Brewster
did. Larry's design is for an in-front panel, such as you would use
in a 12U high SKB pop-up mixer case; it has mults. I'm going to stick
this in the back. Richard's design is beautiful, but well beyond my
tools and skills. It seems like an FPD file that replaces the front
panel in the 950 will be just right, and perhaps useful to others.
