I'd like to offer an extra-cost 5U version of the R modules. Why not MOTM? Because the MOTM format is, sorry to tell you, dying. Even Paul isn't making any new modules in that format. Anyone? If you help me, I'll give you the first module that results.

Why not just have Scott make up some MOTM panels? I'm in the market, though most of us MOTMers are DIY types. I'll likely not buy too much MU beyond sequencers. ::shrug:: --- On Fri, 11/12/10, metasonix2000 <synth@...> wrote:

"What's up w/ DotCom format? My DotCom panels didn't sell fer crap. Anyone want to tell me why? At this point I'm just curious. " Everyone else feel free to call bullshit, but here's my perspective... With no new modules being released by Synth Tech for quite some time (MOTM-730 being the sole module in 6 or so years) and the output of assembled modules therefrom being slow, most new modular synth players have looked around and seen euro as the vibrant industry with all manner of new shit... Harvestman, Malekko, etc. In the last couple of years, the MU format has seen a boomlet of assembled manufacturers: Hordijk, Moon, STG, and now SSL & MegaOhm. So new folks who love the large format look and feel gravitate that way. But they're assembled-only types for the most part. I'm heavily invested in MOTM format and can/will fill the next 96U with Bridechamber paneled modules. Apart from a small sequencing rig, there will be no MU. krisp1 seems to be doing a fairly brisk trade in MOTM format (with expansion into MU as well), so we're not yet dinosaurs. One problem is that for new DIYers, there's really no marvelous introduction like the Synth Tech kits that GC Fuller did for Paul... those instruction manuals were pure gold. In the thirty or so modules I did from Synth Tech, I had three modules not work properly from the point of powering up. For a beginner, that confidence was critical. Our marketplace lacks that. What's wrong with my Tau? My rudimentary circuits understanding offers little insight. eric --- On Fri, 11/12/10, Scott Deyo <contact@bridechamber.com> wrote:

Well, I still have some populated PCBs of TM1m from way back that I still owe money to Eric for, so I wouldn't expect him to want me to do it.
What's up w/ DotCom format? My DotCom panels didn't sell fer crap. Anyone want to tell me why? At this point I'm just curious.

You offered MU panels? When? For which projects? I had joined this group looking for MU panels, but you only seem to work with MOTM format panels. I am looking for MU panels for the FOH Plague Bearer, Choices, and SOS, as well as the Mattson Stuffed Boards as well. I do not have the time or patience for full DIY, but can handle semi-DIY. Scott, do you still offer PCB and Parts for Yusynth Projects? I have some panels (that someone printed for me) that need their guts!
