Proper integration of 38A ADSR Expander

2008-10-21 by (i think you can figure that out)

All,

For some reason my ISP (bless their heart) has changed my password and
I can't get to them to find out what the f it currently is. Sounds
like a pile, please note my hosting is run by an old friend of mine, actually the guitar player in a high school band is was in named Sanpaku (I plyed flute and sax if you're curious). It's a
small semi-private network and the guy sometimes goes dark for weeks
at a time while he's working on his own projects. In any event I
can't upload to our site until I get the magic number and I wanted to
give an outine here in the meantime on how the 38A needs to be connected.

There are a series of four jumpers on the Model 38 ADSR. One each for
ATTACK, DECAY, SUSTAIN AND RELEASE. These jumpers look exactly like
the ones used on the SCSI drives of olden days. You will notice each
jumper can be shorted to the center section and to either the W/ 38A
and W/O 38A position on their far end. To use the 38A, the jumper for
ATTACK DECAY and RELEASE must be moved to the W/38A position, while
the SUSTAIN jumper remains how it was when the 38 shipped, in the W/O
38A position.

As soon as I can I will upload a photo which shows how the cable is
connected.

thanks for your patience on this, and if you happen to runi into Mario
Salinas (my ISP), tell him I need to speak to him!

thanks,

- P
