Re: Model 30? Mini Milton (and some other stuff while 'm at it - PG)

Matt!!

Always a pleasure when you show up here. All - Matt Ritenberg is one
of the first Plan B supporters - he's a good guy and we appreciate his
devotion to the nines.

Right here, buddy, right here [hand to heart]

OK, this is how it's gonna be:

The Model 32 is coming in a couple of weeks. Please don't pester
Noisebug until you see the official 'it's here' announcement. I
haven't yet even set the price, can't until I see how long it takes
the guys to slap one together, so NB can't answer anything I haven't
told all of you guys on it. I will say there will be a limited amount
of these made as there are just so many joysticks (I think I've got
125, I think...somewhere around there). I guess in time I could re-engineer it to fit another type, but if knew the hassle we had to go through to get this one to fit, you'll understand my trepidation is committing to that now. Wait till you see this thing below the surface...it's pretty impressive.

After that....the MINI MILTON! While the M32's PCBs are 1/2 way into
their 8 day production cycle, the M21C is now 1/2 way through it's PCB
design cycle. Faceplates for both the 32 and 21C are expected here in
a week or so. The projected release date on the M21C is first week of
January, concurrent with my 52nd birthday. yippee!!!

Now, the Model 30: we will have a working model at Namm. Phil Gallo
is designing the PCBs as we speak. Audio samples will be posted in no
time, maybe as soon as next week, but we're both a little nervous
about this as it will cause a huge stir in the community and the
pressure associated at that point for release may become troublesome.
I know this is seeming to be a bit off release target..just know that
in this delay some extremely cool features have been added. We've had
to increase the width of the faceplate to accommodate them. In
short...it's ALL good.

Looking a bit further into the future. We're showing some BIG stuff
at Namm we're not talkin' about until a couple of days before the show.

Next year expect a very special fifth anniversary module - one
designed by an individual who for the last 35 years is considered one
of the premier artisans of analog synthesizer design and this
particular one reflects what's come to be known as his area of
specialty. It's never been released, ever and is fucking incredible.

Also next year...the big guns: Big Milt, Model 16 and Model 18. I
know I promised this for this year and I know i can't use our move as
an excuse (we knew this was going down a few weeks before the
show)...but what I didn't know was going to happen was the biggest
economic downturn of the last century and I elected to pull my hand a
bit closer to the chest due to this. They're not dead, just once
again pushed out until Spring.

Also expect a couple of new ELFs in the next two or so months as I'm tossing around the idea for a filter and a panner.

that's all for now. mummmmmmmmmmmm

- P
