So I swapped in a 100 ohm 1/4 watt resistor and I'm definitely sticking with this one - the last quarter or so of the resonance pot gives self oscillation now, but it yields a tone at just one frequency. But this way I have plenty of room to play with. One thing I noticed is that when I switch on the overdrive the bandpass out level is very low and sounds pinched vs. the other outputs... but other than that it sounds NICE - in a nasty way. --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, "untiedstates" <untiedstates@...> wrote: > > Hey R... > Thanks, but I ended up just drilling directly on the plate.. the > aluminum is soft so the drill bit "bites" pretty quickly and I was > able to get the hole for the switch in the right spot. > > Took me about 20 min. to do the mod.. and I'm slow. > > Problem is, my filter's not closing all the way down when in overdrive > mode... then I reread the directions.. ahhhh: I used a 1/2 watt > resistor and it's supposed to be 1/4 WATT. > > Gonna fix that today.. maybe try a 100 ohm just to see how it sounds.. > > FUN STUFF.
