My mind tends to wonder during the drudgery of soldering Plan Bs and I got to thinking about a thing called a wavemaker, which would take an external AC signal and shape it into a sine, tri, saw , square and morph with separate outputs for each. Not sure how many would agree with me that I think this is a useful thing - but for instance, it would be the perfact companion to a freq divider when used as a sub ovtave generator because you wouldn't have to settle with the square wave output if you didn't care to. It's going to be a bit of a task to set it up so that the input signal is 'just right ' for the waveshapers to fire up, but with the help of a window comparator, attenuation knob and LED at the input stage it would sail. Any thioughts on this? - P
