Although both can self-oscillate, that's about where the similarities end. The basic voltage envelopes are different- the Model 10 is RISE/FALL - the EMS adds an SUSTAIN TIME between the two, which I actually think is a really useful phase, btw.The only other two (that I'm aware of) that had a sustain time were the Buchla 284 and one of the three EG's in the Steiner-Parker Synthasystem.
