People,.

One person. I've been living these things now for six weeks.. I'm late,
but I'm doing the only thing I can to complete these. On top of that, I've
had units destroyed in shipping, disappeared in shipping and some returns
that I've had to turn immediatelym but I'm doing everything I can to
complete this run and yeah, there are plenty of placed where you will get
faster turnaround in the meantime I understand people are getting
frustrated and I'm generally sorry about that, but for the life of me
there's nothing else I can do.

If anyone would like a refund, let me know - offline, please.

Re: [PLAN_B_analog_blog] Peter - Where is my model 15 - my weekly post?

2005-05-20 by Ingo Zobel

peter,

no, we don't want a refund, all we want is information,
no matter if online or offline. it seems that the only
way to get information is to say something unpleasant.
and i'm sorry every time, you can be sure about that.

please don't miss the point.
we all (assumably) still want your marvelous designs.
and i personally will happily buy all the stuff which
comes off of your workbench.

one single email to the forum with a small note about
the actual status would be enough, and that takes probably
10 minutes of your time, not more. thats all i'm asking for.

best wishes

Re: [PLAN_B_analog_blog] Peter - Where is my model 15 - my weekly post?

2005-05-20 by Peter Grenader

Everyone,

I'd be happy to post updates - but they're all gonna say the same thing -
they're shipping. So instead of sounding like a broken record or worse -
someone slinging a bunch of bullshit what I try to do is the 'respond with
results' tact by...shipping.

Some have asked that I post specific shipment records and I can't do this.
But what I can, and will do from now on is send my phone number with the
shipment notices so that you may contact me immediately with questions.

One thing I think may need some clarification. When you receive you're 10
days to ship notice - this means 10 work days. As far as delivery, add
shipping time to these ten days.

After this lot is completed there will be a small number of EVENT TIMERS
going to Big City Music. After that, I'd like to complete a three module
output mixer set, and have also worked on a Voltage OR gate/positive
inverter module. I've also had discussions and meetings with someone much
more brilliant than I about getting up to speed on Basic Stamp programming
to begin producing digital control voltage modules - a complex envelope
generator and an eight channel DC sampler for replaying stored EGs either in
parallel or serially (combined complex envelopes)

But what I can't afford to put people through again is accepting orders
during the development process. So these units mentioned about will not be
formally announced until they are at BCM ready for shipment. I'd like to
continue with more ideas, but it's really hard to get off the ground
financially in an operation like this. I'm looking into possibilities of
partnerships - maybe something will come of that. I've got some interesting
ideas I think - but ideas don't pay the light bills unless you can ship
them!

thank yo ueveryone for your patience.

I can understand this for those who are still waiting to put down the
second 50%, "they're shipping, I'm cranking them out as fast as I can" is
as good a response as they can get. There's too many people there to do
otherwise. But...

> One thing I think may need some clarification. When you receive you're 10

As with a previous poster, I've paid my modules up 100% (as of April 25th,
so that's over 10 work days) and have yet to recieve a ship notice. I
didn't post here or bother you because I know it's coming as fast as it
can, and I'm in no hurry on the matter, but I can see where someone in
this position would be annoyed. For those paid up and waiting longer than
the 10 work days, I think it's good business to shoot them a weekly email
as to how many modules are ahead of theirs and what other non-model15 (ie
custom work or what have you) before they can be shipped. Specifics on
customers not needed, but it could help people feel better about the delay
if they know the other tasks that are delaying the process.

Again, I don't want a refund, and I really don't care much about all this,
but it makes sense to me.

Sounds like an interesting crop of modules, especially that stored EG
module...

Makes sense. My company learned this lesson the hard way with the original
Oasys keyboard (which never shipped). Simply put, don't announce something
unless you're sure you can be shipping in six months. For the small
boutique guys I'd go even further and say they shouldn't announce until
the product is ready to go.
