A new future for Electro-Acoustic Research and Plan B

A new future for Electro-Acoustic Research and Plan B

2009-01-25 by (i think you can figure that out)

I originally intended to present this information in a clear, concise
way which could not be cut, pasted or otherwise plopped onto blogs,
mis interpreted or misconstrued. I was planning on a video in which
to do this. But in that the information has already hit the blogs, I
felt I needed to set the record straight immediately.

Coming from a successful show at this year's Winter Namm where a
series of new products were cast onto our near horizon, effective
March 1 Electro-Acoustic Research and Plan B will be returning to the
Los Angeles metropolitan area and with that reopening the PLAN B
DIRECT sales portal at www.ear-group.net. Before and after this
launch our products will continue to be available at a number of
dealershipps both domestically and abroad. A list of those dealers
will be updated on our site in the coming days.

I need to stress that this decision had everything to do with business
and nothing to do with a successful and strong relationship with
Noisebug, a partnership which bore immeasurable growth during it's
tenure and one which I hope will continue in the future.

It's isn't about that. It's about Plan B this month entering it's
fifth year. We're all grow'd up now...and it's time to stand on our own.

Look for a PLAN B DIRECT update early next week on the PURCHASE tab at EAR-GROUP.NET Only products currently in our finshed goods will be included. For those not listed, links will be provided giving immediate access to dealerships currently stocking products which may not be available at PLAN B DIRECT at any given time.

As always, I look forward to the future, to sharing your experiences
with our products and the art created with them. On behalf of Sam
Hernandez, Kateri Lirio, Dylan Sang and Brian McKinnon, I thank you
for your continued support.

best,

- Peter Grenader

Congratulations on your thriving growth.

What are the chances of seeing a UK dealer in the new list? Even using Thomann in Germany would be a huge leap forward. Dealing with the fluctuating exchange rates, shipping, duty, paying the Post Office fees for collecting the duty etc. etc. adds too much extra money + hassle onto getting hold of Plan B modules here in the UK :(

all the best

You're not being smart, you're being a complete gentleman and I
appreciate that. Return them to me if you want a repair. We'll be
there until the end of the Feb and you'll all know where we move to
after that.

One possibility in discussion: I've got a friend who's a clothing
designer. She's looking at space on Melrose in the middle of a strip
and approached me about renting a part of the back she won't need.
THAT would be a hoot. To get an idea on this: think Fresno, then NY
at about fifth and 42nd. You get my drift.

Sweet! I can't wait to see you guys in LA. Pamona was always just far enough away that it was too annoying to drive out there.

Any idea when we'll the Vector Plotter will be released?

thanks
Sascha
