/Curves/Epson 4800/ Breathing_Color_BW_Canvas.zip ZIP I've had this sample roll of canvas from Breathing Colors unopened for almost 2 years until someone asked about a profile for a canvas. To satisfy my own curiosity, I profiled this canvas. As with all the other profiles I've made, it's created as part of my personal learning project. If you're a "newbie", then you might find some of these profiles helpful. Note that the black ink may be overloading. I'm out of canvas to do further tweaking. Enjoy! 16.2 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ Crane_Velina_Finish_BW_03-02-2007.zip ZIP Crane Velina Finish Bright White QTR Curves & ICC profile. I can't seem to get the black as deep as the other papers, and the overall tone is not as punchy as the other papers. Regardless, it still might work well for some images. If you can produce a better profile, please do share. I'd love to check it out. (Note: Epson paper thickness #8 or 9, and platten gap at standard or wide.) 10.2 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ Harman_Matt_FB_Mp_05-06-2007.zip ZIP Re-did the curve. Left the previous previous one for comparison. Regarding paper curl: To correct this, I allowed the paper to acclimate for a few days. To make sure that it doesn't curl upward, using a tube, I gently rolled the paper in the opposite direction of the curl. I left it in the rolled-up position for 5 to 10 seconds. Longer than this causes the paper to curl the opposite direction. Regarding paper surface flake: I gently brushed the surface before printing. Enjoy! 20.1 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ Harman_Matt_FP_Mp_03-08-2007.zip ZIP PROS: Beautiful prints. Surface is smooth and bright. Tonal range looks wide, deep and rich on this paper. Details prints very crisply. CONS: Sensitive to ambient condition. Curls upward along the length if it's left out for about a minute. As as a result the first inch of the paper's edges collide with the printer head, and thus paper jam. Anyway, this profile looks very good, and I'm sure it still can use some more tweaking. Enjoy! (Note: thickness #4, and standard gap.) 13.4 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl Paper.zip ZIP Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl Paper QTR Curves & ICC profile. Like all the other curves I've made here, they're personal projects to help myself learn QTR. If you're new to QTR, perhaps you might find some of these files helpful. This curve file uses LC & LM to neutralize LK ink. The ink set is by Media Street. You probably can use this curve with Epson's Premium Luster Paper. Give this a try. Enjoy! (Note: Ep. Prem. Ph. Gls. Ppr., paper thickness #3, and platten gap at standard.) 12.3 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ InkJetArt_Prem_DuoBrite_Matte_02-07-2007.zip ZIP InkJetArt Premium Duo Brite Matte QTR Curves & ICC profile. I use this paper for tonal value proofing before I print on the more expensive papers. (Note: Epson paper thickness setting #4. Paper tends to jam often.) 12.8 KB Open
/Curves/Epson 4800/ InkJetArt_Prem_DuoBrite_Matte_02-09-2007.zip ZIP InkJetArt Premium Duo Brite Matte QTR Curves & ICC profile. This one is slightly different from the first one. There's a little more shadow details. I use this paper for tonal value proofing before I print on the more expensive papers. (Note: Epson paper thickness setting #4. Paper tends to jam often when auto feed.) 12.4 KB Open
