Re: Issues printing with QTR from Apple Aperture.

Hello Martin

I have had this problem before. I only print from Aperture now, so it should work for you. I currently have Aperture 3.2, but I have been using it since the first version and I don't believe that this has changed.

There are a bunch of settings that you have to get right. Your installation should have created another printer, mine is called Quad3800. I believe that your problem is is due to the color setting. Instead of saying

Printing Profile: QTR_Gray_Photo_Paper,

use
Printing Profile: QTR_RGB_Photo_Paper

Then, click Print...

That will bring up another dialog.
Printer: Quad3800
Presets: no color management (I created a profile for this purpose that lets quad tone rip do it's thing. You can try the default.)

The 3rd pull down will say layout. You need to change that to QuadTone Rip

Fill in the rest of the dialog boxes for your curves and you should be good to go.

I managed to setup and print using QTR from Photoshop, yet when I print from Aperture, what I get looks more like a negative than the actual print.
