QTR-Quadtone RIP

I use QTR over a network. The "trick" is to install QTR for the networked printer, not when connected via USB cable.

To do this you need to find the network address for the printer. (QTR will want to know this.)   On my Mac I do this by first installing the "regular" version of the printer over the network (i.e. using the Epson 4880 driver, in my case), and then looking at the resulting installation.  ( On a Mac, go to Print & Scan / Epson StylusPro 4880 / Options & Supplies / Show Printer Webpage.  Under Information � TCP/IP you can see the IP Address.  It will be something like 192.168.2.28. That's what QTR needs to install the *network* QTR printer. )

I installed the QTR and the profiles for my printer using the USB connection. The QTR works only if I am connected via USB. I can not print over the network. Is there a way to solve this problem? I can print over the network without using QTR, ie... choosing the 9600 in the print dialog box instead of Quad 9600.
