QTR-Quadtone RIP

I recently installed PT for the primary purpose of printing digital negatives, and an occasional color print.  I am using OS 10.6, Photoshop CS4 and an Epson 3880 printer.  I would like to use a custom QTR profile that has been designed in the Windows QTR GUI.  The profile has been further modified by editing in Notepad and Excel.  After this editing, the ink descriptor file no longer exists, and the only file associated with the profile is a .quad file.  The .quad fie loads into the Quad 3880 printer when I use the install profile command.  The problem arises when I attempt to print using the QTR print tool.  Specifically, the printer just feeds a blank sheet through the printer, with no image.  In the Windows environment, this same profile prints perfectly.  I purchased Print Tool in an attempt to avoid rebooting my iMac from the OS 10.6 partition to the Windows partition every time I wanted to print a digital negative.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
