I'll be awfully embarrassed if it's just an empty cart! My 1400 came with autoreset carts, a feature I consider a nuisance. Luckily I got a set of manual resettable carts from InkJet Mall (Jon Cone's website) and a resetter. He apparently has the chips custom made so you don't have to be limited to the auto reset feature. That's the set of carts that I'm using now.
I'll check them later this am, I know that some of them are low, perhaps even empty, and report back.
