Most important you HAVE to choose a curve.
Beyond that there are color management issues.

Hello,
I'm running mac 10.8.5 & qtr 7.1. I haven't updated to the latest version yet so I believe it's 7.1.
All of a sudden my prints are way to dark, there are no lighter values. Zone 5 & up are way to dark.
When I choose print & choose my Quad7800-K7 printer, my set up in the first dialogue box is:

Color Management
document profile gray gamma - 2.2
color handling - PS manages colors
printer profile-QTR_rgb_matte_paper
send- 16 bit image
Black point compensation checked
Rendering intent- perceptual

Print settings (dialogue box0
Printer is Quad7800_K7
quadtone RIP is chosen
Mode- QuadTone rip 16 bit

Paper feed Sheet feed
Resolution- 2800
Speed- bidirectional
No curves choosen

I just had my printer repaired due to a clog in the print head. The tech reattached all lines correctly. This has been my set before, does anyone have a suggestions as to why I'm losing my lighter tones?
Thanks,
Joel
