Sorry that I just found the "Drop-Quad-Profile" script on mac version. I can't use QTR on mac because it can't find the printer (EPSON 3885),but it works on windows if I save the profiles in the directory of 3880UC. Daisy On Thursday, May 29, 2014 8:29 PM, "bjdaisie@... And in "Curve Creator" of QTRgui, I opened the file and clicked on the "show curve" and got the message: Invalid linearize curve - not constantly increasing. Curve Creation failed. And it's so puzzling if I pasted the LINEARIZE data NOT for Digital negative, it could be linearized. And in the document of "QTR 2.7&Eye-One spectrophotometer", it reads: The last line has the linearization info. Triple-click on it, Copy the whole line and Paste it to the bottom of the ink description file. Re-process the ink file with Drop-Quad-Profile. Sorry to tell that I couldn't even find Where "Drop-Quad-Profile" is. I have also scanned the step-21X4-random stepwedge, read the k value of the first line, made a correction curve for negatives in PS and put it in the ink description file as Gray-curve. But the result seems worse than before. For example, I got K values of 68 for the patch of 70 without the Gray-curve, but now a K value of 50. Really don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!! Daisy
