QTR-Quadtone RIP

Well, so far what I’ve tried is the following:
Printed out of my mac os, using print-tool from QTR (the stand alone app, without color management) to three different papers. Ilford Gold Cotton Textured (matte), Ilford Gold Mono Silk (glossy) and Epson Exhibition Fibre (glossy).
The printed pattern is the 21 step target and the reading have been made with a Spectro from Syper print, using the L values.
The results from the measurement I tried to copy and drag over the linearize app from QTR and every time the message has been the same, can’t linearize.
I have not tried the ink limits part of the system.
I’m printing on an Epson 4880 using K3 inset.
I tried to create a custom profile from scratch, and it did not work. So what I have seen is that certain preloaded profiles do ‘kind’ of work. For example for Epson Exhibition I’ve used UCpl-SilverRag-neut, the same for Ilford Gold Mono Silk. I haven’t tried again with the matte paper because I haven’t switched to the matt black.
