Well, Catherine, it was something different I think. I got an installation error this time and a dialogue box that asked if I wanted to repair the installation. I had named the printer Quad7890-K3, but in the end the software installed a Quad7890 and a Quad7890-K3. The former works, the latter doesn't.
So, I suspect that using the -K3 identifier wasn't really a good idea.
