I learned how to make palladium prints using digital negatives, printed using a QTR driver at a workshop done with Kerik Kouklis at PF in Montana . The first step of making calibration step wedges and creating printing profiles, here at home, seems to have gone ok. However now that I am trying to make prints i am having a problem. The Epson r2400 doesn't seem to recognize the thin Pictorico sheet using the top paper feed, so I am taping the Pictorico to cardboard and using the front feed. The feeding part seems to work, but the print has a problem. Once the digital negative print gets near the end (about .75 inches from the end) I get a black band, which of course is lighter on the palladium print. I thought this was an aberration so I printed another digital negative, same problem but the band is slightly narrower. I have uploaded a scan of the palladium print to an album, so you might see the problem. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and How I can correct the problem. thanks Frank Eberdt
