I have been recovering from a concussion, and have been away from my printing for some six months. Needing to replace some prints which have sold at galleries, I tried to get my R1800 working only to find a clogged head. After spending time over three days, and not being able to get the first black to clear, I decided to install another printer which had a clear head. I am using a MacPro with OS10.5 and I needed to install the new printer. It did this easily for the USB R1800, but could not find the Quadtone-3K version. I had been using version 2.5, forever it seems, and it was working fine with the old printer. I deleted the old QT printer driver since it didn't recognize the new printer, and installed version 2.7.6 and when it didn't work, 2.7.0. Both installed, but neither worked! I tried using both PS3 & PS4. I had been able to print from either version with the old printer. With either version of Photoshop, when I select QuadTonePDE in the printer driver, there is a line through it. If I select it, I get the following message: The bundle "QuadToneBDE" could not be loaded because it is damaged or missing necessary resources. I have tried downloading the RIP several times without getting it to work. From what I have read V2.7.0 is the one that best matches the MacPro, OS10.5, and PS4. I even tried the V2.5.0 version which I had saved on the computer's hard drive many, many years ago! I have updated the OS10 many times since though. What am I doing wrong? Is it my damaged brain?
