Hello fine people. This is Walker Blackwell. I haven't posted on here in a long while but I'm emailing today to let you know that I've been hired by the Piezography mothership (InkjetMall) and have returned to my homeland in Vermont. I'm transitioning from being a full-time digital printmaker to customer support and R&D at InkjetMall and for Piezography (as it pertains to this forum). This is my first day and I feel like a babe in the woods here. It will take a long time for me to learn all the technical kungfooery that Dana and Jon have in their heads, but I'll get there eventually. As most of you know, peer-to-peer Piezography customer support happens on IJM's separate forum and direct customer problems can be taken care-of in various ways when you have a customer ID. I'm emailing just to let you all know that my status has changed and that I'm monitoring this forum (I have for the past half decade or so) to keep abreast of all the changes that take place with QuadtoneRIP, a software we all rely on collectively (thank you Roy). I hope I can be a support to the community. This forum/software and others got me started in printmaking and it's very important that these resources stay vibrant. So, if people who aren't yet current customers that have an interest in Piezography or how QTR relates to Piezography (or any other things I can be of help for), I want to let you know that I'm monitoring this forum for those types of questions and others. I will be handling a ton of support stuff with my regular job so won't ever be able to answer or read everything, but will try to be (and should) be a bit more present going forward. If you're already deep into it and have very specific Piezo-questions, the forum over at IJM is there for you too and there are many hundreds of regular users there with a lot of experience in >3 neutral inksets. Cheers all, Walker Blackwell InkJetmall (formally Light Work, before that Latitude, and Black Point Editions before that.)
