"Remote Host Did Not Accept Data File" - Problems Printing Large Files

2016-02-10 by richard@...

I was proofing some really big (40x50-inches @360dpi) files today, and repeatedly got a "remote host did not accept data file (35)" error when trying to send a layered version of the working file. It would spool, then print the first 1/4 inch and reset. Flattening, and printing was not a problem, but it just meant undoing to the layered version, and remembering to not save over the work. This is with a 2010 Mac Pro, El Capitan, photoshop CC, and Printing to a 9900 over ethernet, but it happened over the weekend with smaller files through PrintTool as well.

This has happened several times in the last few months trying to print ink separation images in calibration from PrintTool for profiling new papers.

Roy, do you have any ideas for what is causing this? I can't remember if I ever got this when connected with USB.

Thank You,

Richard Boutwell
