Yes. There are many places that sell 3880 waste-tank resetters (I work at one of them) and the cost of the resetter will pay itself back in a few resets. Google it. No-one should be throwing these away. One can pull the cotton, reset the chip, and put some paper-towel, or sponge in there and back to the races.
