I recommend a cheap used iMac. I find the OS X side to be much more solid at this point. They can be gotten for the price of a nominal amount of our vary expensive printing materials . . . best, Walker > On Aug 15, 2016, at 6:40 PM, 'Jim Thyer' jimth@... The whole idea is that when it’s properly calibrated at the QuadtoneRIP curve level, you don’t have to add any curve layer, inversion, or anything to your digital image before printing a neg through QTR/PiezoDN and then in the darkroom. Final print matches your monitor. > > The last little niggling thing was the fact that you would have to still flip the image horizontally in photoshop. This was still making you have to save a dig-neg-only file. But not so! QTR allows a flip-horizontal directly in the menu. We’ll add this to the ever growing manual. > > Thanks Roy and Keith. > > best, > Walker > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > >
